What You Need to Make These Earrings

Gold Vermeil Ear Threader

This is a 3.5" gold vermeil ear threader finding with a closed loop.

Tammy Powley
When I dig into my precious stash of vintage crystal beads, I want to make a serious piece of jewelry. I’m also totally gaga over ear thread findings, so these seemed to a perfect combination. The beads in this project are ones I’ve collected from shows and other outlets over the years, but really, beautiful beads of any type will work with this easy threader earring project. I purchased the threader earring components from Rings and Things.

To get started, you’ll need the following:

2 gold vermeil closed loop ear thread findings – 3 inches long
2 – 4mm vintage crystals (mine are smoky quartz colored)
2 - 6mm vintage ruffle glass beads (mine are purple)
2 – 6mm round vintage crystal beads (mine are aqua colored)
2 – 2 inch gold colored head pins
4 – 2 inch gold colored eye pins
Round nosed pliers
Wire cutters
Flat/bent nosed pliers
