There is work from a total of ten designers in this books, and while some of them are veteran Bead Style editors (such as Linda Augsbur and Naoimi Fujimoto), not all the designers are part of the publisher's staff including Melanie Ehler and Tia Torhorst.
This is definitely a book for bead stringers as that is the focus of the techniques used. I think the point that stood out to me more than anything when looking at the various jewelry designs was the large variety of materials uses (jet, turquoise, glass, pearls, and brass to just to name a few). As a result, there's a good mix of styles as well as color combinations. Some that stood out to me are, of course, the three strand necklace on the cover, made of amethyst, garnet, gold, and kyanite beads; a set that included various shades and finishes of amber beads; and Venetian glass set using some gorgeous purple and gold colored beads.
I don't think any of the projects are overly difficult as far as techniques used for jewelry designers who might consider themselves at least at the intermediate level. For beginners, though the techniques section is not extensive, I think there are enough projects for them as well, and lots of inspiration to encourage them to expand on their skills.
