The first section of the book starts with the basics including, of course, some information about beads, findings, stringing materials, and tools. Then its time to start the projects which are all geared toward updated fashionable looks and unique home ornaments and accessories. Its nice to see barrettes, purses, and watches added to the mix as well.
Along with projects, theres lot of other jewelry-related information throughout the book located in handy text boxes such as tips for using chain; connecting beads; project variation suggestions; bead knotting techniques; and choosing the right adhesives.
While even at my age most of the projects in the book appealed to me, it is obviously written for a younger crowd and also for beginner jewelry makers. Teens and young adults would probably really enjoy this book. The projects are trendy and easy to make, most taking just a few hours, and I think this would be a great way to introduce young people to the joys of jewelry making.
