Definition: Goldstone has no gold in it and isn't really a stone, so what the heck is this popular gemstone? It is actually glass, a man-made substance. It sparkles because there are little bits of copper in it. Like many other glass beads, you can find these manufactured in Italy, China, and Austria.

This faux stone comes in various colors including blue, green, and brown. The most common is brownish-orange.
