Remember the birth of the Y necklace? At one time, this new design was hanging around the neck of every female broadcaster, sitcom queen, and movie actress in America. We all had to have one. And soon we did. Moms, daughters, and grandmothers were soon also modeling this new jewelry trend. Personally, it took me awhile to get on board. By the time I figured out how to make them and where I could find all that much needed chain, I was afraid it was going to end up like the angel charms that I over indulged in and which are now collecting dust in my inventory. But, I was lucky and managed to get on board in time to profit a little from this hot new trend. In fact, I even managed to dangle a few angles off some of the Y necklaces I made to resell.
But, what has happened to the Y necklace mania? Is it gone? Well, maybe the "mania" has, but I believe the Y necklace design is now a jewelry staple not just a trend. Just like the simple gold chain, or hoop earrings, the Y necklace has now become an item that is here to stay and necessary for most womens jewelry collection.
Look for instructions coming soon to this site on how to make this new jewelry staple.
