| You Can "Make It Profitable" | |

I have to say that I found all the contributors, as well as the author, provided tons of great advice. Since there is a variety of topics covered in the book, readers will find different areas of interest depending on their needs. For myself, I am always struggling with pricing my work. I want to make a profit, but I don't want to feel like I'm taking advantage of people either. This has gotten me into situations where I end up being the one that is taken advantage of. So, the advice shared in the chapter called "The Problem of Pricing" was probably some of the best advice for me. Contributors share pricing formulas, but also a few of them explain that they also consider what someone would pay for it. In some cases, this may keep them from under pricing the item. Still in others, it might help them realize that the price they would need to charge would not cover the time and materials involved, and so they will need to make some design changes. One contributor, named Tabitha Haggie, even goes so far as to have a pricing committee, which is made up of some of her craft savvy friends. They get together and tell her what they would be willing to pay for the item. I thought this was a great idea.
