Noelle's Jewelry Store Tour

Now that my visit is over, I wish I had taken more pictures. However, I’ve tried to compile some words and photos to give you a little, virtual tour of By Noelle, Inc. If you are ever in South Florida, I hope you get a chance to see it in person.

Through the front windows can be seen beautiful necklaces adorning velvet stands. Originally designed to be an art gallery, Noelle’s artistic jewelry seems at home in this spacious shop. After entering the front door, the high ceilings are unexpected in such a new building. These ceilings help to create towering walls that also come in handy for exhibiting the paintings of a friend, which are also for sale. A comfy corner of the shop includes a few chairs and foot stool where customers can enjoy a tasty cup of coffee while they decided which necklaces to buy.

Noelle holds her daughter while standing next what started her on the road to jewelry making: her Body Beads Wrap ™ design. These are still one of her best selling items. Noelle hand-knots strands of various beads, such as stone and crystals, to create her trademarked design. You can see she has to keep a large quantity in stock, so she hangs the wraps by looping them through the links of large chains which are strung from wall to wall in her store.

In the center of her store, a purple velvet table cloth and brightly colored flowers accent a display table full of bracelets. Noelle makes memory wire, double strand, and single strand bracelets. Just as with all her jewelry, Noelle uses a combination of glass beads, crystals, gem stones, pearls, sterling silver, gold, and copper in her bracelet designs. She also includes a metal jewelry tag with each bracelet and necklace.

Noelle explained that she needed a way for people to easily try on her necklaces. Having them on a table was too messy after people picked them up. So, she uses quilted wall hangings on the wall of her store to display her necklaces. Each necklace is easily secured with a little hook for both ends, so the customer can pick one up and try it, and then simply slip it back onto the hooks when finished.

Handy wall mirrors divide the wall hangings (which include 2 on each side of the first room of the store) so that customers can see how they look in their choice of necklace. Noelle goes even further with her necklace displays by organizing necklaces into similar colors: greens together, reds/oranges, blues, and so on.

A red velvet curtain hangs between the two rooms of her shop. The first room is full of her jewelry while the second includes jewelry and another curtained off area where she makes her jewelry and keeps an eye on her daughter.
