Wire Wrap Beeper Chain

This chain could take a lot of abuse, so I recommend using a fairly large gage of wire. If you are making this for a guy, 18 gage copper wire from the hardware store might be a good choice. If you’ve wire wrapped before, you might already have a favorite chain design. One wrapped chain you can try is the Wire & Bead with the bead.

You’ll need:

wire (your choice)
round nosed pliers
flat nosed pliers
wire cutters
lanyard
alligator clip
jeweler’s files

Use the same instructions for the Wire & Bead chain except skip the bead and continue to wrap the wire around itself.

When making the first link, add on the lanyard onto the loop before wrapping.

After making approximately 8 inches of chain, add on the alligator clip to the last link.

Here's a printer friendly copy of this file.
