Glitter & Gold

For an evening out celebrating, gold accessories can really add some sparkly and glitz to your outfit. But, gold can be a little on the pricey side, and it also takes some skill and time to work with it. So, if you want the look of gold with out the cost of time and money, consider using gold colored beading wire. Here's a simple necklace I made using wire and a few beads. Talk about instant gratification!

To make this necklace, you just need some gold colored beading wire. I used Beadalon's 7-strand wire for this piece.

Then slip on alternate beads of gold pearls and crystal beads. I used three pearls and two crystal beads for the necklace pictured.

Finally, add your choice of clasps.

Face it. Sometimes we are just too busy to spend hours creating the jewelry we wear, but that doesn't mean you can't create an elegant and glamorous look for yourself. Heck, you could evens string this up on the way to the party if you have someone doing the driving!
