Princess Earrings

I think these earrings look like a princess would wear them, thus the name. They are simple to create, and you only need a few inches of wire and beads.

You’ll need:

4 inches of sterling wire
2 sterling ear hooks
2 4mm crystal beads
2 8mm hematite beads
round nosed pliers
wire cutters
flat/bent nosed pliers
jewelers’ files

1. Start by cutting your wire into two pieces that are 2 inches long each.

2. Use a file to smooth booth ends of each wire piece.

3. Make a small curl on the end of one of the wires using round nosed pliers.

4. Continue to curl the end a few more times.

5. Now slip on an 8mm hematite bead and a 4mm crystal bead. My crystals have a slight pink tint to them.

6. Now bend the wire into an "L" shape.

7. Use round nosed pliers to curl the "L" part of the wire around the nose of your pliers.

8. Keep your round nosed pliers through the loop you’ve made in the previous step, and use bent nosed (of flat) to wrap the wire around itself.

9. Now just add one of the sterling hooks.

10. Repeat the above step to make another earring to match.

You could use base metal wire and findings also to create this look, but I figured a princess would wear sterling.
