Celtic Wire Earrings

You only need two Celtic Wire Components and a few findings and beads to create these elegant earrings. They work up very quickly, and I’m sure they’ll turn heads when you wear them.

You’ll need:

approx. 20 in. of wire (I used 20 gauge round.)
wire cutter
jewelers’ files
flat/bent nosed pliers
round nosed pliers
2 tear drop beads
2 head pins
2 ear wires

1. First, create 2 components using instructions from my Celtic Wire Component project. I made my loops close together by making sure the pegs were close together on my jig. I used approximately 10 inches of 20 gauge round wire for each component.

2. Take a head pin, and add a tear drop bead to it.

3. Then use round nosed pliers to make a loop on the top of the head pin.

4. Use flat nosed pliers to wrap the pin around itself.

5. Add the tear drop piece to the end of one of the components.

6. Use round nosed pliers to close the loop around so the tear drop is secure.

7. Now add an ear hook.

8. Repeat steps 2 through 7 for a second earring to make a pair.
