Pearl Dangle Earrings

Almost every woman has a pair of pearl post earrings. They go with everything and instantly dress up an outfit. However, if you have long hair like I do, it’s hard to see posts. This lead me to design these "Pearl Dangle Earrings."

You’ll need:

2 4mm pearl beads
2 4mm clear Czech crystals
2 head pins
approx. 4 inches round 20-24 gage wire
2 ear hooks
wire cutters
jewelers’ files
round nosed pliers
flat/bent nosed pliers

1. Cut our wire in half and file all ends smooth.

2. Take one piece of your wire, and use round nosed pliers to make a loop on one end.

3. Continue to hold the loop with the round nosed pliers as you wrap the wire around itself using bent nosed pliers.

4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for the other end of your wire.

5. Repeat steps 2,3, & 4 to make a duplicate from your other piece of wire.

6. Take a head pin, and slip on a pearl and then a crystal bead.

7. Use round nosed pliers to bend and then loop the head pin.

8. Slip one end of the one of your wire pieces made previously onto the loop of the head pin.

9. Continue to hold the head pin loop with round nosed pliers, and use bent nosed pliers to wrap the rest of the head pin around itself. This will attach your beads and head pin to one of your wire pieces.

10. Repeat steps 6 - 9.

11. Open the ear hooks, and attach your dangles to finish both earrings.
