Yoga Bracelet

A friend of mine, who practices yoga, asked me to make her a bracelet using beads with colors that represented some of the different Chakras. She wanted something she could use while meditating but that she could also wear as a piece of jewelry. She asked for certain colors of beads that had different meanings for each color:

white - awareness
red - energy
yellow - intellect
green - prosperity
blue - tranquillity

I dug around in my beads to find some in the colors she wanted in order to make up a proto-type piece for her and came up with this basic design. I decided to incorporate my Bead & Wire Chain design with the colored beads, and include a Hook & Eye Clasp to finish off the piece. I also added a few hematite beads, one tear drop and one round, to make the piece longer and easier to wear a bracelet.

I like the way this proto-type piece turned out and have started thinking of some other designs that could be used incorporating the different colors of Chakras. If you would like more information about yoga and related topics, take a look at About's Yoga Site.
