Silver Trends for 1999

According to an article in the July edition of JCK magazine, silver is as popular is ever. Some of the trends we’ve already seen become popular in recent years have included romantic styles such as silver chokers, silver with pearls, and silver with gems. Some of the up and coming trends in silver, as predicted by this article include:

  • Modern Designs - geometric shapes, smooth and highly polished, inspired by architecture
  • Textures & Finishes - hammered, satin, lacy, oxidized, and brushed
  • Mixed Metals - mixed high grade metals such as 18kt or 22 kt gold to accent silver pieces
  • Necklace Styles - Chokers (still), long necklaces, large pendants
  • Ring Styles - Small, stackable rings, large faceted stones
  • Hair Jewelry - Gems, pearls, and crystals accent hair ornaments
