It's that time of year again - time to vote in the Land of Odd's Annual 2007 The Ugly Necklace Contest. That's right! It has nothing to do with design or beauty. We are talking ick! Ugh! What the heck were you thinking!?Right now they are down to ten semi-finalists from the original 37 enteries (that's a lot of ugly jewelry!), so they need you to cast your vote for the final winner. Voting ends July 15th.
Wish you had entered? Well, you missed the 5th annual contest, but starting in September Land of Odds will be accepting entries for their 6th contest.

Oh, but Tammy, it has *everything* to do with design! I learned so much by entering this contest: first I had to carefully consider each and every design element and principle in order to best decide how to break them in the pursuit of true ugliness. I’m serious! It was a very educational experience
I never thought of it that way. Yes, I bet you had to really try to ignore your natural design urges. If you haven’t already (I may have missed it), you should write a blog post about that!
