Bead Walkathon a Success

Wednesday June 14, 2006
Beads for Education has announced their walkathon a success. From a press release:

The 2006 WALKTHON was amazing. We realized more than $21,000 for BEADS programs and operating expenses. Thank you everyone for your generous support in this effort. Special (extraordinarily special) thanks to the American walkers for their dedication and fundraising efforts. The 240 sponsored girls, their families, communities, and BEADS thank you.

Several sponsors have already signed up for the second 100 MILE WALKATHON in Kenya during January 2007. If YOU are interested in joining the walk this year, please contact me for the details NOW! This is a unique opportunity to combine your dream of an African safari with helping our sponsored girls, their communities and BEADS. I know you will return home with lifelong friends like the 2006 WALKERS.

You can find out more about this program on the Beads for Education website.
