It started with this oh so cool propeller component, which actually spins in the center. I knew I needed to incorporate it into some kind of unique pin design. Then came the filigree copper component, and the wings were a must add after that. This new pin tutorial nods to the popular Steampunk theme that is still everywhere these days in the jewelry world. It combines filigree components, metal pieces, wire, and crystals: Flying Filigree Wing and Crystal Pin.
