Interweave publishes books and magazines related to all kinds of arts and crafts such as beading, jewelry making, knitting, weaving, sewing, crochet, and more. Every year, the company runs a "Hurt Book and Overstock" sale on its books. "Hurt" means the items may have some wear and tear on them. For example, a book cover might have a bend or crease in it. These books have been sitting around in a warehouse for awhile and they may have been bruised a little as a result. I checked some of the jewelry making titles and was pleasantly surprised to see a lot that are actually pretty new.
If you don't mind a little bruise here and there, then you can save 50-80% on jewelry and other craft books. I have purchased a few books through this sale in the past, and none of the books I received seemed to have anything wrong with them. I'm not saying they are all in perfect shape, but of the few I bought none looked "hurt" to me. Plus, you can't beat the marked down price! The sale ends June 24, 2011.
