
This year's Earth Day aims to achieve a billion acts of green. You can help by working within your community, or your own environmental system to be just that one bit greener. These projects from the Hobbies Channel at About.com all feature some element that will help the earth.

- Recycle Your Jewelry - Tammy Powley, About's Guide to Jewelry Making has ways to reuse what you have already, finished items, or a stash of materials.
- Reusable Tote Motif - Cross Stitch Guide Connie Barwick has the "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" motif ready to work on your next reuseable tote. She's also got some great tree patterns you can work along side it.
- Crochet an Earth Friendly Market Bag - with this pattern from Crochet Contributing Writer Erica Jackofsky. She suggests making it in organic cotton.
- Green Crafts with Rubber Stamping - Kate Pullen, Guide to Rubber Stamping, has some great ways to reuse and repurpose materials for crafts.
