Pewter Jewelry Beads and Pendants

Recently, I blogged about how pewter is a possible substitute for silver, at least sometimes, when you want the look without the price, which is pretty high these days. Now I have two projects that incorporate pewter along with a variety of other materials, and I am now a major pewter fan.

First there are these Rose Quartz and Pewter Bead Earrings. The pewter beads in these earrings provide lots of detail at a reasonable cost compared to sterling silver beads. I did also use some silver wire and findings, and they look pretty good with the pewter.

Then there is this intricate double strand necklace: Ruby Zoisite and Amethyst Go Green Necklace. It includes a pewter bead as well plus a pewter pendant, base metal chain, some silver wire, and gemstone beads including amethyst and faced ruby zoisite.
