Pewter Alternative to Silver

Silver is so expensive these days. I remember when it was only around five or six dollars an ounce, and now the most recent closing cost for silver (according to Monex) was $24.32. Because of the rise in cost of silver and other metals, jewelry designers have started using a lot of different alternative metals. One metal to consider when you are trying to get the look of silver without the cost associated with it is pewter. Pictured are some pewter beads, pendants, and a filigree component I received from Auntie's Beads, and I love the details and shine of these. Most people would never know just by looking at these that they are made of pewter and not silver. Keep an eye out for some up-coming pewter jewelry projects, which I have in the works.
