Colors for Fall Jewelry

Artbeads.com asked me to participate as part of its jewelry blogging program, and this recent one focuses on the colors of fall. Beads are a great way to infuse color into any jewelry design, and so I found some gorgeous lampwork beads, from the Grace Lampwork Bead Collection, that include some of the colors from the fall 2010 Pantone's Color Report: lagoon, purple orchid, and a hint of chocolate truffle.

After selecting the beads, I decided to go with copper findings and wire since that connects to the idea of chocolate a little bit. I used various gauges of copper wire and copper findings such as a very cool TierraCast copper bamboo toggle clasp.

I ended up make three different jewelry pieces, two necklaces and a pair of earrings that match both the necklaces:

Using the color report was a fun spring board into forming these designs.
