My new Double Strand Seed Bead Necklace with the Resin Flower Bezel Pendant is a big hit so far. I have worn it a number of times and gotten some great compliments on it. After making the resin pendant, all kinds of ideas started coming at me from more flowers to photographs to vintage doo-dads. The possibilities are huge.
Resin is a wonderful product to work with and it is easily available both on-line as well as in most craft stores. If you have been thinking of trying it out, you may want to learn a little more about it: What Is Resin or Two-Part Epoxy?

Well that’s really neat! Did you use a dried flower?
Nope, I used a regular little fresh flower, pressed it in a book to flatten it, but didn’t let it dry. I was worried the color by not be the same if it dried. Plus, this particular flower is very tiny and fragile, so it might be difficult to mess with after drying. I think you could use dried flowers too with no problem.
Resin is really hot now! I love the pendant. It’s a starburst of color.
I have only used the bezels. Have you ever used the resin molds?
@Jeannie – Yes, I’ve used the molds too. There are a few projects here http://jewelrymaking.about.com/od/resinjewelryprojectsinf1/Make_Resin_Jewelry_ProjectsInformation.htm where I’ve used molds. You have to spray them with release before using the resin to make sure it pops out okay afterwards.
