Awhile back, I blogged about looking back at 2009 and forward at 2010 and what I refer to more so as goals then resolutions. Now that we are in the middle of the month, I thought it was a good time to stop and think about those goals again. Here's a quick poll to see how everyone is doing.

I’m actually reaching my goals (or rather, keeping to the schedule I needed to set for myself) but am finding I need to fine-tune my goals a bit. It’s all good, though!
I’m doing so bad! I haven’t crafted in years but want to start up again, but my patterns and materials are still sitting in my desk drawer because I can never seem to find the time. They’re not in the closet at least, so I guess I’m getting closer!
I’m happy to say 2010 is going really well. On Jan. 1, I launched a new project called Earrings365 (www.earrings365.com) to both challenge myself creatively and build my business. I found myself falling into a rut last year because I had so many shows booked that it was difficult to have enough inventory, so I found myself making the same things over and over that I could make quickly to fill the booth.
This year I decided to challenge myself to stay on my creative edge by creating a different pair of earrings every day of the year, including weekends, and I set up http://www.earrings365.com to share them with current and new customers. I’m happy to say that not only is it generating sales for me during the typically slow time of the year, but it is also kicking my butt creatively. Not only do I have to design a new pair each day, but it is helping me improve my photography skills, my writing skills, and my business systems and processes as well.
I’m happy to say that as I enter the third week of this project, I haven’t missed a day and I’m beginning to find my groove. In fact, I’m really enjoying it and the ways in which it’s making me stretch, so I’m looking forward to see what it brings throughout the year!
