Jewelry Updates and More Via Twitter

Out of all the social networking sites I have joined over the years, I have to say that I'm still a major Twitter fan. It's very easy and quick. You can pop in and check your Tweeps (people you follow on Twitter and who may or may not follow you back) in just a few minutes. Because you are limited with the number of characters you can use, this forces you to keep your posts super short, which again is really a time saver. You can also set it up to feed your weblog updates directly into your Twitter page, so once you set that up, that means it takes zero time from you in the future.

I use Twitter to keep in touch with lots of my fellow jewelry designers and crafters and to post about new projects I'm working on as well as new tutorials and jewelry information I publish here on this site. On the flip side, I also pick up lots of interesting crafting tid bits and news as well.

So come on over to Twitter and be one of my Tweeps. Not sure what the heck this Twitter thing is all about? Then read this helpful article over at About.com's Web Trends site.

Probably the most compelling advocacy of Twitter I’ve ever heard. I see how it could be effective for someone in the midst of a social network, thanks!

So far, I’ve just viewed Twitter as a total time suck. I may have to rethink that :-)

Cyndi – At the very least, it’s good for feeding blog links into, but yes, if you aren’t careful it can suck up your time. I get so much great info there, though.
