All of the above, of course!
And television, and what others have done, and memories of things my grandmother and great-grandmother wore, and….
Maybe one of the choices should have been “Life.”
A difficult question! Sometimes it is the raw materials that inspire me – I might look at something and think ‘that will make a great …’. I love to hear how others find inspiration – that’s often inspiring too!
Practically anything can be an inspiration, but my strongest two are nature and music. I also have a lot of creative ideas when I’m in that cusp between waking and sleeping.
I would have to say colorful art is my main inspiration…and then texture.
It’s odd…I have a house that has snow white walls, and very subdued earthy tones as the main pieces of furniture and area rugs, but I use color like a maniac in accessories that contrast and/or complement those earth tones.
There isn’t a wall with more than a square foot that has nothing hanging on it.
I LOVE eye-candy! Everyone who visits comments on the art.
It’s my inspiration.
I think inspiration is EVERYWHERE!
Even when I close my eyes, images roll by and sometimes I have to get up and at least jot them down so I don’t forget.
What would we do without creativity???!!!http://camillescreations.blogspot.com
Such a hard question!…I too am inspired by Life around me and whats happening in my Life! When I’m making personal jewelry items, I try to think of the colors, moods, memories that make that person who they are, and what the meaning is behind the creation…
My sisters and I share a special bond with Snowflakes, which started after our Mother passed away in February 2003. (Theres a whole “back story” behind this!!) Needless to say, every year now for the past 6 years, we have given each other gifts of snowflakes. I made all of us a bracelet to which I make charms for each year. This year on Jan. 11, we lostour beloved Father….So now I have added another special Snowflake charm to our bracelets…!
So creating for me, definatly revolves around the circle of Life…!!
Enjoy creating…Express yourself…!!!
