Bracelet Blank Project Coming Soon

By , About.com Guide   March 20, 2009

Follow me on:

I received some interesting bracelet blanks from Rings & Things recently. They are available in a variety of sizes and different metals and finishes such as antiqued copper, gold-plated, gunmetal, and silver-plated. You can attach components onto the metal discs between the links in the bracelets, so that's why they are called "blanks," as in something needs to be added to these "blank" canvases on the bracelet.

I have a few ideas rolling around in my head, and one of them is so easy (and I think pretty fun too) that I may have the bracelet made and tutorial up as early as this weekend. So, stay tuned!

What about you? Have you used these before with jewelry components such as glass cabs or stones?

Hi Tammy! I got one of my rings and things bracelet blanks finished and like how it turned out after lots of trial and error. I was having SO MANY ideas, it was difficult to narrow them down to one! http://abeadaday.blogspot.com/2009/03/fun-with-bracelet-blanks.html

I know what you mean. I’ve got one in the drying process now, so I hope to have the tutorial posted this week. I’m off to check yours now.

Many years ago, I used to tumble polish stones and attach these to blanks like this. I’ve still got some somewhere!
