Up Coming Jewelry Book Reviews
My "need to do" book reviews are starting to stack up on my desk, so I'm diving in starting this weekend. First on the list to do is take a good look at a book by Victoria Lansford entitled Metal Techniques of Bronze Age Masters: All Chained Up. Victoria has a DVD out on the same technique, her specialty obviously, and the DVD concentrates on rings.
Another book in my stack is Hooked on Jewelry: 40+ Designs to Crochet by Pat Harste. It's published by Sixth and Spring Books, and combines crochet and jewelry making. Crochet is my number 2 craft (at least right now), so I'm thrilled to take a look at this book. I've been thinking for awhile about creating some of my own jewelry crochet designs, and now I have some inspiration to get me started.
Finally, I have two books from Interweave Press in the stack. First there is Designing Jewelry with Semiprecious Beads: Stringing Instructions and Techniques for Necklaces, Bracelets, and Much More by Kim Gover and then Create Jewelry Glass: Brilliant Designs to Make and Wear by Marlene Blessing and Jamie Hogsett.
As I get them reviewed and posted, I'll obviously let you know.
