Make Jewelry for the Bride
I have a wedding to go to in a week or so. I know the groom, not the bride, so I would not presume to give her jewelry since I would be totally guessing about her taste. However, if you have any future brides in your circle of friends, making her jewelry can be a great wedding gift. In fact, some jewelry designers actually specialize in bridal jewelry. Clare Yarwood-White is one such designer who started her own bridal jewelry business and has done really well with it. In fact, she's done so well that's she written a book about it: Bridal Jewellery, which I've reviewed for this site some time ago.Jean Campbell's book, Beaded Weddings: 75+ Fabulous Ideas for Jewelry, Invitations, Reception Decor, Gifts, and More, is another book for those interested in making bridal jewelry and other related craft items. It combines the art of jewelry and beading with entertaining.
Even if you aren't interested in starting a bridal jewelry business, both books have some good ideas when it comes to jewelry projects that you could use for brides or in some cases non-brides as well. But, if you do want to create jewelry for your bride friends, then I think it's a great way to give them a very special and personal gift for their special day.
