I just wanted to show off some resin cabs I made recently. Considering I'm learning as I go, I think they turned out okay. I'm getting there at least and will have a project up soon about them.

Those are so cute Tammy – I can’t wait to see the project you come up with for them!
those are indeed cute,`what did you pour the resin into to make these?
Thanks you guys. I poured the resin into a cab mold I got at Michael’s. I’m hoping to have the project posted this weekend and linked in my Sunday night newsletter, so I’ll have complete instructions soon.
Wow, I’ve never played with resin before… Looking for a cold Milwaukee winter project. Looks interesting. Is it very hard to do? I mean, can I play with this on my kitchen table for a couple of hours, then put it all away easily to get dinner on it without messing anything up? Or, do you need a dedicated space to play?
Kathy – Resin it generally pretty easy to work with I think, but you do have to be careful not to get it on your skin, and you would need a place for the resin to dry undisturbed because it takes awhile to dry. I don’t think it would be something to do in the kitchen, maybe a guest bathroom that you could close the door on.
I make a lot of jewelry finished in resin and a great trick is to grind up shell ,and make a paste and put that into your mold it makes a stunning pendant.
Wow…that sounds (and looks) like fun! I found some shells on the beach and tumbled them…maybe I can take the chips and grind them up like Garry says.
I will be in a challenge in a magazine involving resin…I was terrified because I had never used it, although I am incredibly attracted to many of the projects I see in print which employ it — it is so versatile!!!

Although I am not an expert now after making one design which uses it, I wonder what on earth took me this long because I really enojed the whole thing!
I know. I was surprised too. I can’t wait to see your project. That sounds like fun. Hey, obviously resin is the new hot jewelry method right now…hmmmm….
Hey,
I tried resin once…. I enjoyed it but got a little impatient & didn’t wait until it dried to get it out of the mould. You have inspired me to give it another go & maybe have a little more patience this time. haha.
