There is a lot going on in the jewelry web world right now, on various jewelry blogs and vendor websites, so I thought I'd collect a number of newsworthy items today and present them all in one post for you.

First, a BIG congrats to Jennifer Perkins for her book, The Naughty Secretary Club: The Working Girls Guide to Handmade Jewelry, that just came out on Amazon.com the other day and is available for early ordering. I know she has GOT to be excited about that.

For those who may want to rev up their jewelry making business, don't forget about Halstead Bead's annual bead grant. The deadline is sometime this summer. Winning something like this would be a major shot in the arm for any small jewelry design business.

Blog readers will enjoy reading what I think is a fairly new blog from HHH Enterprises, who has guest bloggers on now and then to mix it up with many of their jewelry supply products.

Blog writers will be interested in this - Ruby from the forum who has a fabulous beadwork site is offering to list your blog on a page located on her site. Post your blog URL at this forum thread so she can start up the list. Hey, the more links to your blog the better, right? Thanks, Ruby!

This is also the time of year for the Ugly Necklace Contest to start up over at Land of Odds. Go to the company's website to see some horrible necklace designs - I mean ugh! Lee! - and also the rules for this super fun contest.

It is almost June, and that means the return of the Bead & Button Show. This year it runs June 1–8 and will be held at the Midwest Airlines Center in Milwaukee.

And, speaking of beads, Interweave Press has recently announced a call for entries for Beadwork VI: The Beaded Book. Books and beads, sounds very interesting to me.

Finally, BeadStyle has a new special issue out, perfect for these hard economic times, which focuses on Jewelry Under $25. So, you can get a lot of style without a lot of cash.
