Can't Go Wrong with Pearls for Mom

Saturday May 3, 2008
No matter how much jewelry you have given mom at this point in your jewelry making life, you still can't go wrong with pearls.

Plus you can go the traditional route or the trending route with pearls.

If you have more of the trendy style mom, then a coin pearl and wire necklace (like the one pictured) is a good way to go. She'll be amazed at your wire skills, but you'll know it really wasn't all that difficult.

If mom is more of the traditional type of jewelry lover, then I've got plenty of traditional pearl jewelry projects for you to consider as well such as a single pink pearl necklace or a simple pair of double pearl dangles you could picture a Jane Austen heroine wearing.

If mom is into glam, then she love a pair of Swarovski faux pearls in long dramatic dangles or a pair of chandelier style pearl and crystal earrings.

You know your mom better than any one, probably even better than dad knows her, right? So, think about your mom's jewelry taste. Then decide which pearl style matches her personality: trendy, traditional, or glam.

Gosh, I like this necklace. Really pretty. I think I’ll make one for myself…I’m a mom.
