Etsy is now "the" place to buy and sell hand-crafted work of all kinds from jewelry to clothing item as well as home decor. It is tempting to just jump in and try to sell and hope for the best, but with so many other jewelry designers trying to do the same thing, it can be discouraging. If you are thinking about selling your jewelry on Etsy or you are already doing it now and could use a little advice, then you must listen to this wonderful podcast I discovered at at Craftypod:
CraftyPod #70: Marketing Your Art & Craft, with Ryan McAbery
I was busy one day making jewelry in front of my computer while working on a book project, and I just happened to find this as I was looking for something to listen to as I was weaving my beads. Boy, what a great find! Ryan is a verteran Etsy-ian who is generous with her suggestions for getting yourself seen as well as getting your jewelry sold over there. Even if you aren't interested in selling on Etsy, I think you'll find her ideas about marketing helpful in other selling venues.

I would love to get this information! I already have an Etsy store. Is there any way we could get a transcript of the podcast? I have no way of listening to it.
You could ask the Craftypod site, but probably not. To hear it, you just need to download any number of free software and it should prompt you for this when you click on the link over there.
This site offers great tips on how to improve your Etsy Marketing and sell more products.
Etsy Marketing
My artist friends are using a FREE software called zingzag studio to drive Facebook users to their Etsy site. It’s really easy to use, and the company is a start-up out of the University of IL (which is why it’s still free). You can put an entire catalog of your jewelry using the slideshow feature, and share the link on Facebook. Try it out: http://www.zingzag.com and let them know what you think.
