Halstead Bead Grant

Saturday February 2, 2008
It is that time of year again - the time of year that Halstead announces its call for entries for Business Development Grant competition. This competition is open to American designers who are interested in selling their jewelry to the bridge jewelry industry. "Bridge" refers to the type of jewelry that is in between fine and costume, and many of my readers make what would be considered bridge jewelry. If you use sterling silver, gold-filled, gemstones, crystals, and related components in your jewelry designs, then more than likely your jewelry would fit into that category.

To be considered for the grant, you will have some work ahead of you including putting together the following: a design portfolio, business plan, resume, and answers to several questions on the application. Submissions must be received between April 15 and June 17, 2008. The winner receives $6,000 in cash and merchandise as well as other benefits. So, if you qualify to enter, seriously think about this opportunity to expand your jewelry business.
