Miami Bead Fest

Thursday January 17, 2008
This April 11th through the 13th is the weekend for beads, beads, and more beads, plus metal clay, wire, and other things jewelry making at the Interweave Bead Fest held in Miami, Florida. Admission fees are $10 for a one day pass, $12 for a two day pass, and $14 for a three day pass. But, if you sign up for one of their many classes you will receive free admission to the Expo Hall.

Registraton for classes is already open, and you'll find classes covering all kinds of techniques and media. Some techniques include metal etching, tubular Ndebele, fringing techniques, Russian leaves, and metal clay textures, just to scratch the surface for you.

If you can't make it to Miami, there are a few more Interweave shows available throughout the US, including one in Portland March 27th through the 30th; one in Phoenix May 1st through the 4th; a show in Philadelphia August 22nd through the 24th; and for wire workers, there's a wire show April 4th through the 6th in King of Prussia.

Jean, Layla, and others: This year Bead Fest is not having the show, but I am continuing it under The Best Bead Show, with many of the same, as well as additional, exhibitors and classes. (I was part of Bead Fest last year.) The event is from April 24-26, 2009 at the same location: DoubleTree Merchandise Mart (used to be owned by Sheraton). All details can be found on bestbeadshow website. Please comment that you did view this post, as I have no other way to contact you. Thank you.
