New Fruity Nylon Colors
Beadalon is brightening things up with their new line of fruit colored Supplemax nylon bead stringing cord. This is the sort of stringing material you often use for illusion-style necklaces or also tin cup necklaces would look good too with this because you can either match the colors with your beads, such as blueberry cord with light blue crystal beads, or you can choose to create a contrast with different colored beads that are not meant to match the cord. This is pretty thin cord, .25mm in diameter, so it would also work well with multi-strand pieces. Each spool includes 50m (or 164 feet) of cording. I'll have to put my design thinking-cap on and see what I can come up with, but one thing I noticed is that when viewed as a single cord as you pull it off the roll, the color is lighter than when it's all wrapped around the roll. So, this is something to keep in mind. The affect may be more subtle than you'd expect, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just something to keep in mind when you are teaming it up with beads.
I did some web surfing to find out the retail price, and generally, Supplemax is pretty inexpensive. Dick Blick has clear Supplemax for less than two dollars. Most retailers had about thes ame price range depending on the size of the roll.
