Selling Jewelry Online

Tuesday October 9, 2007
The Internet is a great place to reach a world-wide audience of jewelry lovers, so it is not surprising that many of us with jewelry making businesses eventually try to sell our jewelry through various web venues such as online auctions, web stores, and maybe even our own web page.

Recently, I wrote an article about strategies for selling your hand-crafted jewelry through the Internet, and just today I found a little more about this from a Q&A column on the Wall Street Journal web site. It talks about selling on line but also suggests that using off-line resources to further on-line sales is something to consider as well.

Hi Tammy,
Part of jewelry sales is in ensuring the right prices for the best profit. I thought it maybe useful also to mention that an appropriate jewelry software can keep track of the smallest detail. Especially for fine jewelry, where gold prices are volatile. Keeping track of every product cost price, gold weigh, will eventually affect your profit.
