Bridal Jewelry Market - Yeah or Nay?

Friday June 22, 2007
The bridal jewelry market is huge. They have to buy all kinds of things from the gown to the shoes, and yes, the jewelry too. For example, pearl jewelry is a tradition when it comes to weddings and jewelry.

Brides want their big day to be special, so that means everything involved in the big day - such as the jewelry she and her bridal party wears - must be special.

As a result, this leaves a great way for the one-of-a-kind jewelry artist to make her happy and make some income as well. But, is it worth it all? We have had numerous discussions about this on the forum, and right now we are talking about one jewelry designer's special order for a bride.

This prompted me to create a forum poll: Thoughts on Bridal Jewelry. Once you take the poll, feel free to post your thought here as well.

I think that it is one of the most important days of a girls life is her wedding day and it should be. Also a piece of jewellery should look as wonderful as the bride herself.

Of course, but is it worth the PIA factor on the part of the jewelry designer is what I’m asking.

I have done several weddings and I really have had no problems. I have only done necklaces and earrings for the bride and for her attendants but they have all turned out well and everyone has been pleased. The bride loves to give the pieces of jewelry that the i make and the attendants wear as her gift to them.
