Thursday July 20, 2006
After watching Project Runway last night and noticing that out of 14 designers only one did not sketch out designs, it got me wondering: Do you sketch your jewelry designs?

You betcha! I can’t draw worth beans, but I almost always doodle the piece a bit before subjecting pricey materials to the wire cutters and pliers
i NEVER sketch out my jewelry designs why would you???
I think different people have different reasons, but for me, I do it so that I don’t forget a design idea when I may not have time actually try it out. That way I can go back and try it later. Also, sometimes I find it helpful to figure out how I’m going to construct a piece of jewelry, sort of like a blue print for me to follow.
I have someone who wants to see my ideas for a jewelry line but I can’t even draw sticks! how would i go about finding someone who could sketch my ideas for me,something that a jeweler could make a model of, what would I put in a ad, I’d even take a student
