Charm Factory Gives Free Charms Away

Thursday June 1, 2006
I got this press release from the Charm Factory, but you can read more about it on their website.

Charm Factory to Donate 5000 Pink Ribbon Charms

Organizations and fundraisers may apply by August 1

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Charm Factory, a company that specializes in sterling silver charms, beads and awareness ribbons made in the USA, is offering to donate 5000 of its new pink ribbons to non-profit organizations and fundraisers working to find a cure for cancer.

The new charms are silver filled and very light and flat. A beautiful touch on bracelets and other creations, they are also the perfect size to place inside fundraising letters as a freemium. (A “freemium” is a promotional giveaway.)

Each year, Charm Factory helps defray costs for a number of jewelry makers and beaders who donate their time and energy to worthy causes. “We are giving away 5000 of the new pink ribbon charms in an effort to do our part to help find a cure and support those touched by cancer,” said Charm Factory manager Angie Beauchamp. “We hope that a variety of non-profit groups will be able to use these ribbons as a fundraiser to benefit their organizations and the important work they do in our communities.”

Organizations, their representatives, and individual fundraisers who are interested in receiving free ribbons may submit a request by visiting www.charmfactory.com and clicking on the “Free Pink Ribbons” link. The deadline for requests is August 1, 2006. A committee of Charm Factory employees will review submissions and distribute the ribbons to deserving recipients. No phone calls please.

I think this is a wonderful gesture, and I am going to buy all my charms from the Charm Factory from now on.
