Jewelry Call for Entries

Tuesday February 28, 2006
I have another jewelry book in the works. This one is on mixed media jewelry, and I'm sending out a "Call for Entries." Here are a few of the details:

Projects should be constructed using basic jewelry findings, simple wire-working techniques, or put together with threads, fibers, leather, etc. Projects should integrate current, original, and exciting techniques and unique and interesting materials. Projects must be achievable by a home artist. (The book will not cover hot metal techniques such as soldering, casting, or anything requiring complex metalworking tools. It will also not include polymer clay.)

We are seeking projects in the following categories:

  • fiber and fabric jewelry
  • paper jewelry
  • found object jewelry (incorporating recycled/found materials)
  • jewelry featuring unique and/or unusual combinations of materials (bones, shells, glass, wood, beads, chain etc.)
  • memory jewelry (incorporating photos, charms, imagery)
  • If you are interested, you can find the complete details posted here: Mixed Media Call for Entry.
