Trade Your Crimps for Scrimps

Wednesday February 15, 2006

Beadalon has an interesting new concept in jewelry finishing called "scrimps." From their catalog: "Scrimps are a screw finding that takes the place of a crimp. These precious finings have a tiny set screw inside to crimp and hold Beadalon wires in place."

You can find out more about this interesting new concept in finishing beaded jewelry and also see a number of other new products at the Beadalon website.

I just started using “scrimps” and I love them. Not only are they easy to use but they are good looking. “Scrimps” make whatever jewelry item you make look more profesional.

I love them too. One word of caution be careful not to let the little screw fall out, it is very difficult to get it back in. It makes your jewerly pieces very professional. I could not get the hang of using the crimps. I probably would not be making jewerly if I did not found the scrimps.
