Trade Show Tips and Open Studio Sales

Saturday November 12, 2005
Jewelry designer Amy Peters is known for her clever silver charms with sayings such as: “Follow Your Heart” and “Dreams Come True.” But she also has a weblog where she makes announcements about her company and also shares her experience as a jewelry designer and entrepreneur. While I’d like to see her update her blog more often, recently I noticed she did have a few newer posts as well as some older ones that you may have missed. Both I think are great ideas for the budding jewelry designer.

First, she has a nice blog entry about conducting open studio sales. Even if you may not be located in an area that gets a lot of foot traffic, which seems to be implied by this entry, I thought this was something to think about for those who work out of their homes. Why not have your own open studio sale?

Next, I thought this entry about trade shows - “Trade Show….Are You Ready?” – is packed full of helpful bits of information. For those jewelry makers who have thought of going for success in a big way, then this blog post offers a lot to think about.
