Learn Jewelry Making at Home

Sunday September 25, 2005
Many jewelry makers are self-taught, and in fact, these days because of the wonders of technology there are lots of ways to learn all kinds of jewelry making techniques, from beading to wire to metalsmithing, in the comfort of your own home. I also have a number of virtual jewelry making resources for you right here on this site. First, there are my Free Jewelry Making E-Courses, which currently include a class on bead stringing, bead knotting, and chandelier earrings. Once you’re signed up for a course or two over there, you’ll want to also consider looking at some of the CD, DVDs, and Videos I’ve reviewed. Finally, don’t forget all the books and magazines that are currently on the market. Granted, there’s nothing like taking a class in person, but it’s not always possible for busy jewelry makers, so a virtual class can be the next best thing.
