Make a Wire & Bead Bezel

Saturday June 18, 2005
Beads are some of the most versatile jewelry components, and this is one reason jewelry makers enjoy incorporating them into their jewelry designs. Even if you aren’t into beading, per say, but are more interested in making wire jewelry or prefer to metalsmith, you can still use beads to enhance your work. One popular approach to including beads in a piece of jewelry is by making a bead into a pendant. While there a few different ways to approach this technique, Beadshop.com has a free Wire-Wrapped Bezel Project on its site that may be just what you’re looking for to add color and variety to your own jewelry creations. You just need some 24-gauge wire and one wonderful bead to get started.
