Bulk Up Your Jewelry Supplies

Thursday April 14, 2005
Let's face it. You will never have enough wire, metal, clay, beads, or findings. Whatever it is you use to make your jewelry, there never seems to be an end to wanting more, more, more! I have to laugh at the uninitiated who believe they can save money by making their own jewelry. Okay, this might be true in some respects, but when you get serious about your jewelry, you can also get into spending some serious cash on jewelry making supplies. But, there may be an answer to this problem – buying in bulk. The saying “the more you buy, the more you save” is true. However, again, it comes down to forking over a lot of money. But, what if you bought supplies in bulk with a bunch of other jewelry makers from all over the Internet? It’s called bulk buying, and there are a number of Internet groups who run bulk buys on jewelry supplies all the time. Yahoo has a group, and occasionally, a group of forum members also get a bulk buy going.
