Bargain Bead Score at Target

Monday April 11, 2005
I've been hearing from forum members about the new dollar section at Target, and I finally got a chance to check it out. I'm sure they aren't all filled with the same goodies, but my local Target (located in Jensen Beach, Florida) was chock full of bargain beads and related supplies. Okay, I know these aren't the same quality as Japanese seed beads, but for a dollar a tube (which I'm guessing are about 30 to 40 grams) I couldn't pass them up. I figured, if nothing else, they'd be handy for things like making holiday ornaments or using in a Dutch spiral jewelry project since that stitch sucks up a lot of beads. Along with beads, there some small plastic containers with little dividers, great for storing beads, and some shallow divided trays, perfect for bead projects in general. There were also some low end tools like round nosed pliers. Now, I wouldn't want to use these type of tools on a regular basis, but if you teach jewelry making classes, then they might be worth considering.
