Tim McCreight Answers Jewelry Kiln Questions
Tuesday February 22, 2005
Awhile back, I had a short interview with Tim McCreight, a jewelry making guru and author of the Complete Metalsmith, about the best sort of kiln to purchase for making jewelry using different methods such as fused glass, lampwork beads, metal clay, and lost wax casting. He had some very helpful information back then, and recently, in the Ganoksin newsletter, they included a wonderful article written by Tim McCreight concerning kilns. He answers a lot of questions such as how safe they are, what types of kilns are available for making jewelry, how to determine the best kiln for your jewelry making needs, and much more. So, if you've been thinking about buying a kiln for making jewelry, this article, entitled Kiln Questions, is an excellent reference.
